Norwood resident and Civil War buffJack Kelley will give a presentation on Civil War veterans of Norwood and South/Dedham. South Dedham, now Norwood, was deeply involved in the War Between the States, sending over 400 men into the Union armed forces, either as volunteers or draftees. This presentation will focus on some of the individual soldiers and sailors from the local area, including their civilian occupations and military experiences. We'll also examine the roles of some of the local families and their contributions to the war effort.
