Disastour Series: Haiti, Then and Now

The Morrill Memorial Library is presenting a special three-part Disastour series. Disastour is defined as "a trip with visits to various places of destruction, natural disaster, or catastrophe, for pleasure or instruction."
Technical Services Librarian Lydia Sampson will be joined by Amy Bracken, journalist for PRI's "The World," to discuss Haiti before the devastating 2010 earthquake, in the immediate aftermath, and the state of things today.
Bracken and Sampson both traveled to Haiti, as journalist and tourist respectively, shortly after the catastrophe and will describe their experiences.
