The Morrill Memorial Library's Fall Musical Sundays Concert Series kicks off with a bang on Sunday, November 17 at 3:00 pm with the Alex Minasian Trio.

The Alex Minasian Jazz Trio will bring us an afternoon of jazz, with musical selections honoring the legends of jazz music, including Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk, as well as music from the Great American Songbook. 

Pianist, Alex Minasian has performed in most of the country's most famous jazz rooms, including Jazz @ Lincoln Center, the Village Vanguard, and the Apollo Theater, and has studied with some of the greatest pianists in jazz history, including Hank Jones, Don Friedman, Jean-Michel Pilc, and James Williams. He was the last pianist for legendary vocalists Little Jimmy Scott, and Mark Murphy. Alex has also headlined such important jazz celebrations as the Rochester Jazz Festival, and has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival and at the Istanbul Jazz Festival. Alex has been featured in Yerevan Magazine, a Los Angeles–based Armenian publication promoting Armenian news and culture. You can learn more about Alex here.
