Experience the vibrant voices of the Americas in "Through My Eyes: Sounds of the Americas," a captivating program celebrating classical works by trailblazing women composers from Cuba, Argentina, and Colombia. Featuring My Name is Alondra, a poignant song cycle by Boston-based composer Omar Najmi, with poetry by Dominican-American poet Alondra Bobadilla, this performance explores themes of love, loss, motherhood, and mental health. Join us for an unforgettable journey through music, poetry, and storytelling!
About the Artists: Mezzo-soprano Fanny Lora is celebrated for her expertise in Spanish and Latin American repertoire, creating immersive performances that spotlight underrepresented composers and poets. Pianist Alexandra Lutkevich is an accomplished collaborative artist and educator, known for her dynamic partnerships and innovative programming.
