Morrill Memorial Library is partnering with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to bring a presentation on the very important topic of Medicare to the library. The program is called Planning for Medicare- Countdown to 65 on April 16, 2024 at 6:30 PM in the Simoni Room.

Please join us to understand Medicare eligibility. Learn about your health insurance options outside of employer-sponsored coverage.  Many people need help understanding the coverage options available to them.  This is especially true for people that plan to retire and are leaving employer sponsored coverage.  For these individuals, retirement may be the first time they do not have a Human Resource representative coordinating, explaining, and negotiating a rate for their health plan premium. The presentation will explain: Medicare Parts A and B, Medicare enrollment timeline, Medigap Plans that supplement Medicare coverage, Medicare Advantage Plans, such as HMO and PPO’s, Medicare Part D prescription drug plans, and plans and programs available to early retirees, such as COBRA.

About the presenter: Susan Flanagan, Senior Plan Consultant, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts
