Michael Graff, popular presenter about financial services and retirement, will return to the Morrill Memorial Library on Thursday May 30 at 6:30 pm to discuss social security. His Social Security Seminar is a single session 90 minutes course, offering information for people nearing retirement and interested in learning more about Social Security claiming options and when to file for benefits.  Michael will also review the changes to Social Security that were enacted in 2015 as part of the Bi-Partisan Budget Act. Specific topics to be reviewed include:

- How to properly file for Social Security benefits
- How to maximize the amount you are eligible for
- How to avoid the most common mistakes people make when claiming their benefits
- Collecting Social Security while you continue to work
- Taxation of Social Security benefits
- Social Security information for widows, widowers, and divorcees

Michael Graff, the workshop presenter, is a veteran of 30+ years in financial services and is a local speaker and practitioner on a variety of retirement planning matters. He is the southeastern Mass representative for the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), a non-profit 501(c)3 offering financial education on a variety of topics.
