For National Poetry Month, the Morrill Memorial Library is honored to host Worcester Poet Laureate Oliver de la Paz for an in-person program called "Talking Poetry" on Tuesday, April 23 at 7:00pm in the Simoni Room.

Join us this evening for a reading by Oliver de la Paz, an award-winning poet currently serving as Poet Laureate of Worcester. Oliver will also talk about his writing process, experiences, and poetry as a form of writing; and answer questions from the audience.

About the presenter: Oliver de la Paz is the author and editor of several books and serves as the Poet Laureate of Worcester, MA. His latest collection of poetry, The Diaspora Sonnets, was published by Liveright Press (2023). It was a winner of the 2023 New England Book Award and was longlisted for the 2023 National Book Award. A founding member of Kundiman, Oliver teaches at the College of the Holy Cross and in the Low-Residency MFA Program at PLU.
