The Secret Stealers: Researching a WWII Novel

The Morrill Memorial Library and other Boston area libraries are partnering with Haley Booksellers to offer a fascinating program with local author, Jane Healy. Author of the bestselling “Beantown Girls,” Jane will debut her newest novel this Spring. “The Secret Stealers” is based on the true stories of the women of the Office of Strategic Services, the precursor to the CIA, during World War II. This exhaustively researched historical novel follows an American woman spy who joins the French Resistance in Nazi-occupied France. In this virtual program, Jane Healey will walk us through the inspiration and the research behind “The Secret Stealers,” the history of the Occupation of Paris and The French Resistance, and the characters and their connection to real life events.
