[VIRTUAL] LGBTQ+ Inclusion 101 w/ Ali Kane

Wednesday, June 126:30—7:30 PMVirtualMorrill Memorial Library33 Walpole St., Norwood, MA, 02062

In honor of Pride Month, the Morrill Memorial Library is pleased to partner with Joshua Hyde Library and other Massachusetts public libraries to present a virtual workshop by Ali Kane of ALK Consulting called "LGBTQ+ Inclusion 101" on Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30pm on Zoom.

Knowledge can empower individuals to make cultural change. With 1 in 5 Gen Z individuals identifying as LGBTQ+, it is imperative that the community understand the foundational principles of gender, sexuality, and allyship. This virtual workshop encourages individuals at all levels of understanding to learn about what it means to be LGBTQ+ and how to be stronger allies so our entire community feels welcome to be their authentic selves.

About the presenter: Ali Kane (she/they), Founder & Principal of ALK Consulting, brings over 10 years of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community with a specialization supporting cultural institutions. ALK Consulting offers LGBTQIA+ workshops, advising services, and grant writing for organizations committed to authentic inclusion for staff, members, visitors, donors, and community partners of all genders and sexualities. We prioritize compassionate curiosity to develop effective allies that value the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. Learn more about Ali HERE.
